A professional reconversion comes from a few things, faithful friendships, an aperitif with Phil, meeting an entrepreneur who believes in the project and the self-sacrifice that rugby has instilled in me.
Looking for a campsite to take over, I surfed the net and discovered this municipal campsite in St Maurice de Gourdans. I was convinced that a commune with such a name was located in the Landes (I have Landes origins!) and therefore a bit far away. My curiosity made me make a copy and paste it on Google and the surprise was total. St Maurice de Gourdans is in the department of Ain, 1h15 from my Savoie, 35 minutes from Lyon and 1h20 from Geneva.

The visit of the site made me discover an exceptional setting with an incredible view of the river Ain. It was love at first sight. It turned into a crush… On 01/04/2014 (and it’s far from being an April Fool’s Fool ☺), I took my sports bag, bought a caravan, left my family in Chambéry and started the St Mo adventure. In 3 years and with the unfailing support of Philippe, my friend, and local craftsmen, I transformed this 4 hectare site into a 3 star campsite with 40 mobile homes, 2 swimming pools, a restaurant and entertainment. My guiding thread in the development of the campsite has always been to work around the many species of trees that make it a haven of coolness in the summer.
In 2016, my friend and chef Patrick joined me to offer you quality specialities with local products. Your taste buds will remember! The support of musical artists from all over the world who play in the evening gives an international touch. Come and listen to and appreciate all these talents by the pool! This riverside campsite is mine but above all yours and it is constantly evolving.

Like a haven of peace. Our campsite is full of surprises : large shaded areas (250 m² minimum) for pitching your tent, a human-sized space, a warm and available team, 2 swimming pools, a rich programme of sporting activities during the summer season, most of which are free, a restaurant with good local produce thanks to a real chef, accommodation for all tastes and budgets : from a simple pitch to a luxury mobile home !
